On these pages we show examples of some of the conservation grade commissions we have worked on. Each project is unique, so while we endeavour to show the full spectrum of work we are able to undertake, there will always be exceptions.

If you have a specific project in mind or would like a fuller discussion about our capabilities, please call our office or e-mail for more information.

gems studio worked with Kelvingrove Museum on the New Century Project, an ambitious restoration of the building and redisplay of objects which was undertaken in 2001.

Display space was dramatically enlarged to allow for a 50% increase of artifacts displayed. gems studio produced bodies and forms for a number of areas, including historic and military costumes. We worked closely alongside the museum's team of curators complementing skills and advising as required.

Shown left, is an "invisible" costume form created for this mid-19th century dress.
