Conservation grade costume figures can be customised with a variety of different arm and hand options. The types available are shown above. (click on each for a fuller description). These can be finished and painted to compliment your choice of head whether it be realistic, character or abstract head.

We appreciate the delicacy that historical costumes often come to us in and as such, we suggest that the arms on conservation grade costume mannequins are fairly relaxed in position and have a flexible arm fitted to minimise stress placed on the garment displayed.

Our unique flexible elbow joint can be altered into different positions and can either use our standard hand or we can life cast an arm position and hand to suit the required pose needed for each costume figure.

Shown left, is a figure fitted with a full fibreglass arm and hand. This is usually life cast from a model posed into the exact position required and would be used where the conservation costume does not have any sleeves and the arms are on full view.
