The figure is assembled in our workshop
gems studio were approached by Liverpool football club to produce a sculpt of star player Steven Gerrard as a centrepiece for the launch of their newest merchandise store within the new Liverpool One shopping centre.
Due to the footballer's busy schedule we were unable to organise a sitting, so worked from images and measurements supplied
by the club.
Shown left, is the raw figure being assembled at our workshop. The head was produced in fibreglass to suit the more robust nature of final installation environment, but could just as easily been produced in wax.
