American fashion designer Rick Owens approached gems studio to sculpt his head and torso for use as a wax figure at his Pitti Filati "Dustpump" fashion presentation in Florence.

Shown left, is Rick Owens with the  sculptor in his studio. Many photographs and measurements are taken prior to the sculpt commencing and again at key stages throughout the sculpt. The client may visit a number of times and will finally sign off the figure with the sculptor when complete.
