American fashion designer Rick Owens approached gems studio to sculpt his head and torso for use as a wax figure at his Pitti Filati "Dustpump" fashion presentation in Florence.
Shown left, is the clay head in the process of being created. Our sculptors and technicians are meticulous about the detailed brief they use as a basis for each custom sculpt. Many photographs or tearsheets of the subject are gathered from which to glean the detailed naunces of facial expression (or muscle detail where we are making a full body sculpt).
