GEMS STUDIO are proud to have worked on Glasgow’s recently opened Riverside Museum. This architectural masterpiece is situated on the site of a former shipyard on the banks of the Clyde, housing an impressive collection of items which pay tribute to Glasgow’s rich heritage of design, engineering and construction.

GEMS STUDIO attended on site meetings, carefully perfecting each mount through a rigorous size and fitting process, adjusting forms to allow each individual costume to be displayed to the museum's exact brief and therefore each to their fullest glory. Many of the body forms were made cutaway style so as to render them 'invisible' on show.

Shown left: a bespoke torso, fan holder and mount for headdress are trial constructed at GEMS STUDIO's workshop during manufacture. These pieces are destined for one of the museum's street scene exhibits.
