Prince William sculpt - Royal London Wax Museum, Vancouver Island, Canada
The finished wax head of the Prince William figure.
gems studio worked with the Royal London Wax Museum in 2008 to create a custom sculpt of Prince William, which was produced in wax.
We were briefed to sculpt William in his early twenties for installation into the museum alongside a previously sculpted figure of his mother, Princess Diana. This was to mark the 10 year anniversary of Diana's death.
Shown left, is the finished figure, featuring a wax head. The hair is part strip with an inserted hairline. The hair colour was meticulously matched across many images to obtain the correct shade.
