gems-studio are skilled at the creation of animatronic figures for museum and interactive exhibition installations.

We have produced many good examples of moving figures over the years and feel that the best way to showcase these is to let you see one in action and judge for yourself. Click on the image above to see the working movements of a figure we recently created for The Princess Royal Class Locomotive Trust in Derby. The piece features two movements, the hand writing and the head moving from side to side as the figure appears to be recording details of what he is viewing.

The figure forms part of a group of four (he is the only animatronic piece of the group) staged to tell the story of the development of the dynamometer during the 1930's. This figure has just installed at the museum as part of ongoing refurbishments.
